Life. Alpha Kappa Lambda. Joy.

What is life like in a fraternity?  What goes on inside while the rest of the world revolves?

Campus involvement is one of the basic foundations of a worthwhile college experience, according to professors and university alumni both.  Boise State is considered a "commuter campus", and is plagued by the fact that most students share a home life, a work life, and a campus life.  Often, they place their priorities in that order, and leave school as soon as they're done both physically and mentally.

Our goal is to develop brothers who, guided by the Five Ideals, share a lifelong commitment to AKΛ and are dedicated to assuming leadership roles in meeting the challenges and responsibilities of life.

Leadership skills.  Committed to making a Difference.  I am an AKΛ.

A Worthwhile College Experience Always Includes Campus Involvment!

Involvement in university life is the backbone of a meaningful and lasting stay in college.  Whether we're out hosting a philanthropy benefiting the Women's Center Sexual Assault Response Line, getting involved in student government, or having a formal dinner with a sorority (or two), membership in Alpha Kappa Lambda guarantees a college experience chock-full of memorable and worthwhile experiences.  Every year we recruit only the cream of the crop -- men who share our ideals and goals and expect only the best from their college career. Find Out How You Can Become More Involved!

  "Leadership"

Guidance.  Capacity.  Direction.  Leadership means being able and prepared to fulfill the obligations of life.  By continually building real Men of Character through our Kai Membership Development Program, members are easily ready to assume any and all leadership positions set before them in school and in their lives ahead of them.  This is just one of our Five Ideals we hold true to each member across the country.  (Read More About our Five Ideals!)

  Interested in Service Projects?

One of the things that we, the Gamma Theta Chapter of Alpha Kappa Lambda, are most proud of is the help we give back to the community in which we live. Alpha Kappa Lambda was not founded as a "social" fraternity, but rather as a "service" organization. We try to live up to our Founders' example here at Boise State by fulfilling the obligation we have to those less fortunate than us. This year we took philanthropy and service to a new level. In addition to service projects and competitive sorority events in which we compete, Gamma Theta Chapter  has added (and continues to add) a wide variety of service and philanthropic projects, including our national service project: These Hands Don't Hurt.  Read More About Our Philanthropies!

Brotherhood: What a Fraternity is All About!

By seeking the highest ideal of brotherhood, we try to achieve this ideal by cultivating not only the power and passion for seeking intellectual development, but also the spirit of love and charity. Through your common commitment to the ideals of AKΛ, you will find a group full of life-long friends ready and willing to become your Brother in the Fraternity.  Our Big Bro/Lil Bro program helps new members get to know older members and become familiarized with AKΛ, the campus, and the University. Once a member, they become part of an AKΛ family that can be traced back many "generations"; Alumna family members love to visit and meet their new family! Along with these programs, we always have movies, games, service activities, laughing, and having fun!  Read More!
