On the evening of Friday October 21, 2005 at 1401 8th St (the corner of 8th and Ressiguie, click for directions), at 8:30pm. We'll be showcasing our gentlemen for your enjoyment, and bidding will commence at 9:30pm. UPDATE: Auction Results: After a long night of bidding wars between girls, our pledges made out with over $600 to be put towards their new member fees! We'd like to thank each and every lady that bid on our members, and we're floored at all the support all three sororities showered our way! Once again, on behalf of the Kappa Pledge Class Fall 2005: thanks, ladies! Bidding is open to anyone willing to shell out the money for our members. You'll be bidding on any and every member and pledge of AKΛ, so if you've been having problems getting the car clean or your house tidy, you've finally found an affordable solution! Unfortunately, only ladies will be allowed in! The AKΛ Member Auction is the official pledge project of our Kappa Pledge Class of Fall 2005. The money raised at the auction will help towards the pledges' new member fees, of which our national insurance program is a substantial part. Bidding will commence at a very reasonable $15, of which a non-legally-binding contract requires nothing more from an AKΛ member than friendly company or light manual labor for exactly four hours. It is up to the discretion of these gentlemen what might fall outside reasonable boundaries. Last year we raised over $520 dollars for the new members, doling out approximately $65 to each member to help curb the costs of insurance and new member fees. Thanks again to all that participated! We hope to see you support us again this year with our new pledges! We will be featuring one member at a time, using a regular auction style. This will NOT be a silent auction, so be sure to get there at the right time to secure the rights to your favorite member. |
