Dear Student: As a student at Boise State University, you have chosen an academic institution that fosters an atmosphere of scholastic excellence while allowing its students the flexibility to reach their individual goals. You have also chosen a school that will give you a fulfilling college experience. I offer you an opportunity to further that experience. Alpha Kappa Lambda ("AKL") is a newly established chapter of the national Fraternity of Alpha Kappa Lambda. AKL presents you a unique opportunity for several reasons. First, it allows you to get in on the ground floor of a growing organization. You will be the future of this chapter and decide what direction it will take on this campus. You make decisions on what events on campus to participate in and with whom you wish to participate. You will be an active part of the brotherhood from day one. Second, the brotherhood of Alpha Kappa Lambda is different. It is based on the same five basic principles as were originally practiced by our founding fathers nearly a century ago during our inception: Leadership, Scholarship, Loyalty, Self-Support, and Judeo-Christian Principles. Through a national fraternity of this size you will be able to grow and develop into the type of person you want to be. AKL will be there to guide you as you grow and will help you reach your goals. College is the time to get ahead. Finally, being a member of AKL is going to be fun. Our Fraternity's slogan is "Men of Character," and we focus on succeeding academically while living healthy, active, and enjoyable lives. We offer a well-rounded college experience, and we are looking for well-rounded people to build that experience. This year we are starting off with a strong pledge class and we hope for you to be part of it. If you have any questions you can visit our local website at www.alphakappalambda.com or our national website at www.akl.org. You can also contact the Recruiting Chairman Brody Aston at 208-724-5273 or by email at rushchair@alphakappalambda.com.
